Marketing Hamilton County to the world and to itself.

Hamilton County Tourism promotes the county as a destination for visitors and a source of pride for residents. As a marketing intern, I contributed to a wide range of campaigns and content initiatives, producing blog posts and social media content, managing content calendars to deliver consistent strategic messaging, filming and editing Instagram Reels, and helping execute live event activations.

The work spanned multiple formats and audiences: commemorative events for national milestones, sustainability spotlights on local businesses, trail safety education, and public art campaigns. Each project required strategic thinking, creative execution, and community awareness.

Four initiatives. One consistent goal.

Event Activation

America's 250th Anniversary

To support Hamilton County Tourism's promotion of Indiana's 250th anniversary celebration, I developed event marketing materials and community engagement strategies that increased awareness of local programming.

I designed booth displays and promotional materials for community events, engaged directly with attendees to share event details, and wrote a feature blog for the Tourism website highlighting the significance of the celebration and opportunities for local involvement.

This project combined graphic design, content creation, and public engagement strategy to position Hamilton County as a destination for commemorative events and strengthen community participation across the county.

Short-form Video

Mochi Joy — Sustainability Spotlight

Mochi Joy is a family-owned Fishers business known for its creative and sustainable food practices, repurposing leftover mochi into delicious Chex Mix and connecting deeply with its local community.

I filmed and edited a short-form Instagram Reel telling the full story: the sustainability mission, the process behind the products, and the community relationships that define the brand. Through engaging visuals and authentic storytelling, the reel was designed to increase brand awareness and highlight the business's commitment to sustainability.

Educational Content

Mason Safety Trail Campaign

For this Instagram Reel, I filmed and edited an educational video promoting safety awareness on the Mason Trail in Hamilton County. The content highlighted important trail guidelines including proper trail etiquette, pedestrian and cyclist safety, and best practices for creating a safe experience for all users.

By combining informative messaging with engaging visuals, the reel educated the community while supporting Hamilton County Tourism's efforts to encourage responsible recreation across its trail systems.

Public Art & Environment

Rain on Main

Rain on Main is a Hamilton County initiative featuring uniquely designed rain barrels displayed throughout Main Street, each a piece of public art with an environmental purpose.

I filmed and edited an Instagram Reel for Hamilton County Tourism highlighting the installations and the artists behind them. By combining engaging visuals with messaging about water conservation and stormwater management, the reel educated the community while encouraging engagement with both the public art and the sustainability mission it represents.

More than content — a consistent strategic voice.

Across all of these projects, my role wasn't just to produce deliverables. It was to understand what Hamilton County Tourism was trying to communicate and find the most effective, authentic way to say it.

I managed content calendars to ensure consistent, strategic messaging across platforms. I wrote blog posts and copy that balanced tourism promotion with genuine community storytelling. And I produced video content that felt native to social media while meeting organizational goals.

The through-line across every project: bring creativity to the work, keep the community at the center, and make every piece of content earn its place.
